50th Reunion Planning update- what's going on....

50th Reunion Planning Update

Hi Saxons,

Here’s a quick update on where things stand as we continue preparing for our 50th reunion:

We currently have contact information for 235 alumni out of our class of 438, and we’re still actively digging to track down more.
In our last email update, we were able to send out 158 emails, but only 52 were opened.
👉 Please check your spam or junk folders, and make sure you’ve marked our messages as safe so we can keep everyone in the loop.
Wondering if there will be any extra get-togethers on Friday night? Go for it! We’re all for spending as much time with old friends as possible—if five hours on Saturday night isn’t enough for you, we totally get it! That said, as a planning group, we’re pouring all of our resources and energy into making Saturday night’s main event unforgettable. So enjoy yourselves Friday, but be sure to save a little of that energy and enthusiasm for Saturday!
We’ve also come up with a plan for desserts—and you're in good hands! Sue Legel is making sure we have a variety of cakes, including low-calorie and gluten-free options, so there’s something sweet for everyone.
Maurice Liang, Todd Morton, and the decorations committee are working on some very cool signs to help direct everyone around CenterPlace on the big night. Even better—they’re creating signs for each of the elementary schools that fed into Ferris, just like those classic group photos we all took back in the day.
👉 And here's the fun part: we’re planning to recreate those old class photos with a new version on reunion night—and yes, you'll be able to get a copy!
We’ll soon be sending out a survey for anyone who’d like to share a short update (200 words or less) about where you are now and what you’ve been up to over the past 50 years. This is completely optional—share as much or as little as you like, or skip it altogether. These updates will be included in our 50th Reunion Memory Book, which will be available at the reunion. And if you can’t attend, don’t worry—we’ll make it available to you if you’d like a copy.
There will also be a tour of the new Ferris campus at 10:00 AM on Saturday, thanks to Mark Silver’s connections at Ferris. Be watching for more details as we get closer to September 13th!

Help us by getting our fellow Saxons classmates to subscribe to this website, which will be one of the ways we can securely communicate what is going on. It is completely run and by the class of 1975 members. The purpose of the website is only to connect and inform. NO OTHER COMMERICAL PURPOSE WILL BE ALLOWED.

This is a non-profit event. Any funds collected beyond our costs will be donated back to Ferris club activities to support current students and programs.
